Hotel Clark leans on the history of the 19th-century Chain Bridge that stretches in front of it — Clark was the surname of the British engineer who designed it — but there’s a slickly modern, eclectic flavour once you’re inside. Following the addition of a pair of suites, the hotel has been upgraded from four to five stars, and its riverside position, decent bistro and trendy rooftop bar make it popular with fashion-conscious couples and business travellers who fancy an elevated cocktail at the end of a hard day’s networking. As you’d expect, service here is top-class, and the location is excellent too, offering easy access to both the Castle District and the Pest heartland.
